Welcome to Verdant Mahjong ("we," "us," "our," or "Verdant Mahjong"). By accessing the Site or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. About Us

Verdant Mahjong is a wholesale-to-reseller and direct-to-consumer company offering premium American mahjong tile sets and related accessories. The Site is operated by Verdant Mahjong LLC, a company organized under the laws of the State of Connecticut, with a principal place of business in Westport, Connecticut.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to place an order on the Site. By using the Site, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Products & Availability

  • All products are subject to availability. We reserve the right to limit quantities, discontinue products, or modify product specifications (including materials, colors, and packaging) at any time without notice.

  • We make reasonable efforts to display product colors and details accurately, but slight variations may occur due to the natural materials used, handcrafting processes, and differences in display screens.

  • Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice. Prices at the time of order confirmation will apply to that order.

4. Orders & Payment

  • Preorders may be cancelled at any point prior to shipment for a full refund.

  • By placing an order, you are making an offer to purchase a product subject to these Terms. We reserve the right to accept or decline any order for any reason, including suspected fraud, pricing errors, or inventory issues.

  • Payment is due in full at the time of purchase. We accept all major credit cards.

  • You are responsible for providing accurate billing and shipping information. We are not liable for delayed or misdirected orders resulting from inaccurate information.

5. Shipping

  • Estimated shipping and delivery times are provided for convenience and are not guaranteed. Estimated shipping dates may be subject to change.

  • Risk of loss and title for products pass to you upon our delivery to the shipping carrier.

  • Shipping costs, carriers, and timeframes are outlined at checkout.

  • We are not responsible for delays caused by the shipping carrier, customs, weather, or oher events outside our control.

6. Returns & Exchanges

  • We want you to love your tiles. Returns and exchanges on mahjong tile sets are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the original shrinkwrap remains fully intact and the set is unopened, unused, and in resalable condition.  Returns and exchanges on all other mahjong accessories are accepted within 7 days of delivery, provided the item is unused, and in resalable condition.

  • Custom, personalized, final-sale, or clearance items are not eligible for return unless defective.

  • To initiate a return, contact us at info@verdantmahjong.com with your order number.

  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 5-7 business days of our receipt and inspection of the returned item. Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.

  • If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.  In your email, include the order number, photos of the damage or incorrect product, and description of the item or problem.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, product designs, photography, and the "Verdant Mahjong" name and branding — is the property of Verdant Mahjong or its licensors and is protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any Site content without our prior written consent.

8. User Conduct

When using the Site, you agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation;

  • Use the Site for any fraudulent or unauthorized purpose;

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or interfere with the Site's operation;

  • Scrape, copy, or misuse Site content for commercial purposes without permission;

  • Submit false or misleading information in connection with an order.

9. User Content

If you submit reviews, photos, comments, or other content to the Site or tag us on social media, you grant Verdant Mahjong a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use, reproduce, display, and share that content in connection with our business and marketing, with attribution where practical. Products are intended for recreational use as game pieces and accessories. They are not toys and should be kept away from small children who may be at risk of choking.

The Site and all products are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, except as required by applicable law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Verdant Mahjong, its founders, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Site.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
